My Blogging Goals | September

Sunday, 3 September 2017

I'm writing this in my local library, because I still don't have any wifi in my new flat. I know I said that I'd do a flat/bedroom tour soon, but I seriously did not realise how much would need to be sorted out before I even come close to being able to show off my flat. This is my first time moving into a new flat, so I'm really just learning as I go along.

September marks the beginning of Autumn- which I reckon is probably the most celebrated season of the year in the blogosphere. At least, it's definitely the most popular season.

As Autumn rolls in, I look forward to spending some quality hygge nights in my new flat; wrapped up snug in a cosy blanket, with a cup of tea, with my cinnamon candles burning. Ah, yes

I am also looking forward to seeing what my favourite bloggers come up with this September- and what I get up to on my blog... which brings be on quite nicely to my goals for the next month;

I'm currently at 834 followers and counting, and I'm slowly creating a 'theme' that I am happy with. Hopefully, I will be able to grow my instagram followers to 1,000 by the end of the month.

Over the past few months I have cultivated a bit of a blogging rhythm; meaning that when I feel like writing for my blog, I write 3-5 posts, and then schedule them to go live on Wednesday and Sunday mornings. This is something that I haven't done in a while, though, and with uni starting mid-September, I really need to get some posts scheduled so that I can continue to be consistent on my blog.

The majority of photos used on this blog are my own, taken from my iPhone... and I'd like to keep it this way. I have not yet taken any blog photos for my new flat, so as September rolls in I'll definitely need to change that. Stock photos are fine for using occasionally- but I want my blog to display my content.

August proved to be quite the challenge for growing my Twitter. I've been stuck wavering between 1,040 and 1,060 for a while now- and I want to finally grow my followers to 1,100 this month.

'Bloggers Supporting Bloggers' is the name of one of the facebook pods I'm a part of... and it's also something which I have neglected lately. I want to get back into the swing of things- starting by commenting on a minimum of 5 blog posts a day. Not to further my own blog, but just simply to support the community that I love being a part of.

What are your goals for the month?

Adios, xo

  1. Honestly, my blog is boring on my first year. I did not manage to put effort because I have no idea where to start. Thankfully, after a year I got the courage to move on and try to learn from other bloggers. Now, my blog is already 2 yrs though I am not very good in speaking english, I still try to write informative reviews. Bloggers can learn from each other. I love blogging because I learn new things and earn extra money as well

  4. I actually love the way you set your goals. It's something I still haven't set and committed to follow but today, I'm working on to achieve my goals. I'm in my first year of blogging so I'm in still in the learning phase too.

  5. I have to write consistently, too. There are days when I feel like churning a lot of articles but there are also days when I feel like not doing anything at all. Other than that, I'm not really particular with my other social media accounts. Great photos, by the way.

  6. Your goals sound great because they are realistic. I was writing one post a week and whilst away got used to writing one a day which I now feel is expected so it is my goal but it is really difficult to fit in with every day life.

  9. I have about 850 followers at insta and hopefully I will reach 1000 but I just need to work hard on that. And finish my site which is under construction and everything is upside down. The text in the posts are mixed up!😭
I like the idea of when you are into writing you do many and save them foe later when you are less inspired. I do the same!

  10. I rebranded my business last year and it has taken until a couple of weeks ago that I changed the energy and am now loving blogging. I am a part of a group where we comment on one another's blogs to support one another. I haven't thought about goals for my other social media which would be a good thing to do.

  15. These are a good set of goals :) mine this month are to start posting consistently (I'm so bad at writing posts then not typing them up/editing corresponding photos for ages), and to engage more in the blogger community

  22. Congrats on the new flat. Although I am sure that you have a ton going on with it and so library posts it is. Still looks beautiful though. Aside from that, I am sure you will get twitter up to 1100 soon. Actually, somewhere there I started getting stuck too. So I'm with you. You will break through eventually though.

  25. One of my biggest goals for my blog is getting better photo equipment for my phone. I use my Samsung galaxy to shoot pictures, and it can sometimes be hit or miss, sadly. I really want to create better content for my blog and Instagram and think this would definitely be a step in the right direction!

  30. I'm still trying to find my feet when it comes to posting times. I started posting twice a week, then decided that three was better, and now I'm considering going back to 2 because of the promotion time. Your goals are absolutely achievable, keep going!

  32. I've been hiatus for so many months because I have limited internet connection too. It's too hard for me because whenever I feel like writing, I just can't. I hope that you can fulfill your blogging goals and I love the active interactions here.

  33. I remember when I went abroad, I had hard time updating my blog since I am so new to the place, though I know I need to update it. I have a small time blog anyways. :D Go for your goals dear. I would want to leave comments as much as I do too, it's just I get tired of reading three blogs in a row, my eyes hurt, I never want to comment "Nice post" to anyone. I read their writing patiently and endearingly. I know every blog post worth efforts. :D
