Happy Sunday, friends!
I hope you've had fun this weekend.
Nude Ribbed Twist Front Loungewear Set - Calley from Femme Luxe Finery (Available in sizes S/M & M/L)

Today's post is the last of a 3-part collaboration I've been doing with the incredible online fashion brand, Femme Luxe Finery. During this 3-part collab, I've been sharing three of my favourite comfy and casual looks, along with a couple nuggets of wisdom. For the first post, I wore a super cozy Grey Fleece High Neck Loungewear set, and for the second post, I styled a Black & White Print Crew Neck T-Shirt paired with a pair of Stone Slim Fit Cargo Trousers

I opened up a bit more than usual on Friday, and I know that it was a bit of a heavy (albeit very important) post, so I decided to make today's post a wee bit more lighthearted. It's not out of any disrespect, or because I don't want to continue the conversation (I do), but honestly I just don't have the energy. Writing Friday's post seriously took it out of me.

Thanks to Laura's lovely wee post, I know that I'm not the only one who has been LIVING for Femme Luxe Finery's loungewear collection due to lockdown. Seriously, as I mentioned in my first collab post, I hated loungewear before lockdown... now, you genuinely won't see me in anything else! And I've got a feeling I'm not the only one that isn't ready to say goodbye to the sheer comfort of wearing loungewear- even now that we're sloooowly beginning to ease out of lockdown.

This is exactly why I selected this loungewear set and decided to write a post about how I styled an outfit that was simultaneously dressy enough to go out to town in and comfortable enough to crash on the couch watching TV in.

Nude Ribbed Twist Front Loungewear Set - Calley from Femme Luxe Finery (Available in sizes S/M & M/L)

I'm wearing a size S/M, and it fits perfectly on me. I'm usually a size 8-10, so I would definitely recommend the fit if you're around that size. I'm not the skinniest girl on the block, and I'm very aware of my muffin top (lol)... so I'm usually pretty self-conscious about wearing crop tops, or anything that shows even the slightest bit of my stomach. I knew that this loungewear set was going to be a bit of a risk, and I wasn't 100% sure if it would be flattering for my body shape, but as soon as I tried it on I knew it was perfect for me; not too revealing, but not too boring either.

As you can see in the photos the trousers are pretty high waisted, and although the waistband is elasticated, it doesn't dig in at all. Plus, because of the twist at the front, even though the top is slightly cropped it draws all attention away from my belly. I never thought I'd be able to say this, but for the first time (probably ever), I actually felt confident wearing a crop top. Like... I didn't even feel self-conscious at all sitting down !!

This exact ribbed front-twist two-piece loungewear set is available in three different shades: Black, Nude and Grey. Usually, I would have gone for the black or grey set, because although I tan really well in the sun, Scotland doesn't see much sun.

It was actually a friend of mine that suggested that I should get out of my comfort zone and try the nude loungewear set, and I am so glad that she did because I absolutely LOVE it. This two-piece set feels so light and girly, which is definitely very me... and it has these lovely pink undertones which means that it pairs perfectly with my beloved GUESS bag (which I also wore for Friday's post).

I think the only criticism I can give for this lovely ribbed front-twist loungewear set is the size range. Currently, the set is only being stocked in two sizes: S/M (the one I'm wearing), and M/L. Now, while I absolutely do not give a toss about the size of my clothes, I do give a toss about the brands I shop at providing size-inclusive ranges (thanks to Erin for educating me on that one!!), which I, unfortunately, didn't see for this item.

I might get into a bit of trouble for pointing this out, but I do think it has to be said. I love this loungewear set so much, so I would be absolutely gutted if one of my readers couldn't get it because it isn't being stocked in their size.

(If you'd like to be pointed towards some brands which do stock size-inclusive clothing, check out Erin's post here, which lists 17 size-inclusive shops!)

When I was styling this outfit, my main goal was to find a way to make this lovely nude loungewear set look like something you could wear to the city for a nice meal, cocktails, or a night out.

I don't know what your opinion is, but I think I've achieved that!

I paired my nude ribbed two-piece with my beloved pink GUESS handbag, but I think it would have also looked great with this Black Croc Grab Bag from Femme Luxe Finery... especially paired with the black leather jacket, which I selected because I thought it would add a nice contrast the loungewear's super light tones. I feel like the leather jacket gives the outfit a wee bit more depth, and makes it look a little less like a ballerina's costume... Although that is definitely still a vibe.

For shoes, I went for a pair of pink-toned nude pointed stilettos (which I literally bought from New Look just a week ago... and they couldn't have been a more perfect fit!).

The finishing touch that really takes this look out of the house and into the city is my hair and makeup. I opted for having my hair down and slightly wavy, with a simple gold clasp to take some hair away from my face. For my makeup, I kept it simple with a two-toned pink eyeshadow look (I know it looks a bit more nude in the photos, but I promise it was pink, lol) and a pair of my favorite Ardelle Wispy false lashes. I've been keeping my face quite bare over lockdown to let my skin breathe so I only used a tiny bit of concealer, but I went to TOWN on the bronzer, finishing it all off with a pink soft matte liquid lipstick.

If you want to buy this gorgeous Ribbed Front-Twist Two-Piece Loungewear Set from Femme Luxe Finery, you can hit the link here. It's currently 55% off the original price of £41.98 (meaning it currently only costs £18.99!!) So make sure you snap it up while you still can!!
