Styling The New Season Trench | Ad Gifted

Happy Wednesday, friends!

I hope hump day isn't hitting you too hard.

If you've been anywhere near Instagram over the last month, you'll have seen an absolute FLURRY of gorgeous dogtooth trench coats. Maria J Blogs practically broke the internet with her insta post wearing this black-and-white coat, but when I went to purchase it, I soon realised that it was just that little bit too pricey for my strict student-teacher budget. Thankfully, after a bit of a hunt on the internet, I found this LUSCIOUS dogtooth coat on the Katch Me website, which is currently priced at £44.

I've been looking for a beautiful A/W coat to wear for placement, and I can firmly tell you that this is the one. Not only is the dogtooth print super on-trend for this season, but the oversized 'boyfriend' fit makes this coat really cozy- and perfect for layering on top of chunky knit tops.

One of the things I love the most about this trench is that you can totally style it up with a nice minimal dress & complementary jewelry, or down with a simple & understated loungewear set- like I did for today's post.

I wore this lovely patterned tench coat in a UK size Medium (10/12), and it fit absolutely perfectly. I would always recommend sizing up when you're buying a coat like this, particularly in the A/W season as you will likely be wearing chunky clothing underneath!

Plus, it's always better to be cosy.

If you would like to buy this coat from the Katch Me online shop, you can hit this link to be taken directly to the product!

Underneath the trench coat, I wore this trendy black chunky knit loungewear co-ord set. This loungewear set comes in a lush knit material, and it comes with a cropped jumper with long cut/flared sleeves & a pair of flared trousers.

As a set, this chunky knit twopiece was definitely made for a casual day look... but that being said, I have stolen the top a few times and paired it with a simple black midi skirt for placement a couple times! The knit material is perfect for lounging around the house, so I would definitely recommend picking it up if you want to treat yourself this lockdown A/W season.

The only issue I have with this black loungewear set is that it only comes in one size. Now, it (thankfully) fits me perfectly, and I usually wear a size 10, but I can't promise that it would fit petite/large sizes. The website does however say that it is stretch material, so *hopefully,* it's stretchy enough to be at least slightly more size-inclusive than I think...

If you would like to purchase this black chunky knit loungewear set, you can hit this link to be taken straight to the Katch Me website.

And finally, to round off the look I wore these cute black faux leather chunky Chelsea boots. Now, when I say that these boots are chunky, I mean they are CHUNKY. Like seriously, Katch Me has reimagined the Chelsea boot in a way that looks badass and classy all in the same breath.

Now, shoes aren't really my area of expertise so I won't talk too much about these shoes, but I'll tell you this much; these are the cutest, comfiest boots I have worn in a long time.

I wore these faux leather Chelsea boots in a UK size 4 (yes, I have tiny feet), and if you'd like to pick up your own pair you can hit this link right here!

If you have never heard of Katch Me before, I would seriously recommend you check them out. These guys are the new Pretty Little Thing, only 100x sexier.

    1. Thanks Natalya! Inspired by the good old Maria J Blogs of course haha

  2. I love that coat! I'm not a huge fan of coats in general- I prefer jackets! But that coat is gorgeous and looks like it's well-fitted for you. Thanks for sharing :)

    1. Thank you so much! Honestly I'm the absolute opposite, I loooove a good coat! Not always the most practical, but usually the most beautiful ;)
